Robert K. Rich’s true love was storytelling. After retiring from business he combined his sales talent and storytelling ability to become one of the most popular adult education instructors at Cuyahoga Community College, where he taught a variety of history classes. In 1995, as Cleveland’s bicentennial approached, he conceived of a series of short essays on Cleveland history. His stories were broadcast regularly on WCPN FM radio and printed as a series in The Plain Dealer leading up to the city’s official bicentennial celebration in July 1996. Mr. Rich passed away in 2002.
